Gladiatrix III - Week 5 Update

During their travels, Sierra and Tessa visit the Naked Lady Tavern. In the parlor two handsome men challenge them to a game of Knaves and Royals. There are high stakes on the line, but there's also a catch. For each round that is lost, an article of clothing is lost as well. Dare you play and risk losing your clothes in such a public place? You may soon find out why the tavern got its name.

  • Still working on the events leading up to the Dakari barbarian lands
  • I'll be working on the Forest of Sorrows this week.

  1. Nothing like an innocent game of cards. It can't be rigged either, can it? ;)

    1. Everyone has the same odds for each hand, so not rigged. Not too innocent either :)

  2. Perhaps there will finally be more dialogue accompanying those coma-inducing pixel-humping animations.

    1. I'll try to have more dialogue in this module. I can't add much while they are humping, though.

    2. Huh? Just make the animation loop forever in the dialogue background and do the on-demand fade-out/switch/fade-in trick. That's how they were meant to be used in the first place.

SetCommandable(False, oPC) or SetCutsceneMode(oPC, True, False)

To make stuff idiotproof (eg. to prevent game breaking if someone presses escape), just make use of IsInConversation() in player's onHeartbeat event.

    3. Or even better: restore control to the PC in OnCutsceneAbort event handler. Effectively this will skip the naughty stuff or make it possible to restart the convo.

  3. How soon until we can play it?

    1. I try not to set exact dates anymore because I never meet my own deadlines. It took me about 6 months to build and release Gladiatrix II. This one might take a little longer. I'm a little over a month into this one.

  4. You're extremely successful at trolling me. Another script stolen from ADWR and people actually find it funny?
