Gladiatrix III - Week 3 Update

Traveling through the deep forest can be dangerous. Especially when crossing an ancient dire bear.

  •  I spent most of the week fleshing out the areas and encounters I've already created so there isn't much new to report.
  • Sierra is on her way to try to form an alliance with the Dakari barbarians. I'll be working on the areas and encounters she'll face on her way there.

  4. The good thing I see here in This series is that You have No idea who or what is at the heart of it all. Brilliant story :)

    1. Thanks! I'm always open for suggestions. I can't promise that I can use every suggestion because I already have the story outlined and mapped out, but if someone gives me an idea that I really like I'll see what I can do with it. Thanks for following the series!

  6. I'm guessing the barbarians will want her to prove herself worthy in a series of trials, before they'll be convinced by her to help.

Guessing the trials will reflect the barbarian's lifestyle or religion.

So, maybe defeating one or more of their champions, than possible a hunt for somekind of beast, and a quest to recover a talisman or perform a ritual of somekind to gain their god's favour in the proposal?

This whole series is bad module design (ex: city in 1 is way too big and empty for no reason) and bad gameplay (railroad, no subtlety or real choice) but superlative romance novel / porn for women writing. I'm not a fan of romance novels, but I can recognize when it's well executed. Every single romance-writing button I could think of to look for gets pushed, and usually at about the right moment. Congratulations on that at least.

    4. Thanks... I guess. The story writing is what I like the most. Getting my story to fit into the game engine isn't as fun and admittedly frustrating to me. So for that, some of the gameplay elements will probably fall short for some. There's going to be a bit of linearity because I'm telling a very specific story. I did try to listen to advice from the community when building the second module but there's still going to be some linearity. The third will have two very distinct paths to end with. I probably should be writing romance novels instead because it would be a helluva lot easier but I plan to at least see this through to the end.

    1. Hi. I'm almost certain that this will be the last module in the Gladiatrix series. Then I'll be taking a much needed break :) This takes a lot of time to do.

  8. hi FallynRayne - if this is the last in the series, does that mean we will see Kelvyn again to? :)

    1. Hi. I wasn't planning on putting him in the module since I have so many love interests to keep up with now, but I'll see if I can fit him in somehow.

    2. Well, if you don't want to put people in, you can always end the relationship, have the person(s) tell main character that they are breaking up with her. Have the send her a letter saying that they aren't interesting anymore/ or they found someone else.

Or you can have the missing love interest send the main character a letter saying that they are busy, they miss her, etc. You don't have add the character in this module.

  9. I'm one of the ones that got Kelvyn as a li, admittedly only because I investigated everything on my first playthrough. My second pt I missed a couple of things and didn't get him, so settled for Landon. I liked Kelvyn because you knew him longer, and he seemed to be more into Gladiatrix, the person. The highlight for me being him not wanting to have sex with her in public at that club/party. I didn't get a monogamous vibe off Landon, and therefore I wasn't as keen on him.

Keeping track of the love interests has to be mind boggling. What I'd like to know about this is, are some of the "many love interests" men? I'm not interested in the females, although I do love friendship paths.

Regardless, thank you for all the time and effort you have put, and are putting into this mod. You have a very grateful fan here.

    1. Thanks! So far the possible love interests to this point have been Tessa, Landon, Kristaly, Kelvyn and Braxton. I'm adding at least two more male love interests in this module. There are other "encounters" that can happen that aren't really love interests. For instance, the encounters in the Den of Pleasure, Felonious's quests and Lorik.

    2. Thanks for the quick response. Reading my initial post above, I didn't mean to imply that I disliked Landon. He just didn't suit the mindset of the Gladiatrix I ran through at the time. ^^

I totally forgot about Braxton! nvm, I'll try him next go round. I'm really looking forward to doing a run through all three mods when this one is finished.
